By setting up a Big Impact Hour, you can be sure to see a huge uptick in corporate volunteering actions being completed. This handbook will show you how it's done...
How to set up the perfect Big Impact Hour
Duration
We encourage our partners to set up their Big Impact Hour on the third Wednesday of every month so we can track how much impact is made in one day. Together, we're on the way to making the world a better place!
If the third Wednesday of the month doesn't work for you, simply pick a time, length and frequency that works best for your team.
Flexibility
An open policy lets your team volunteer when it suits them and is great for teams with flexible schedules.
This supports a strong culture of trust and encourages participation in community volunteering, which can include creative community project ideas to make volunteering more engaging.
Senior Leadership Support
If you want your Big Impact Hour to be a success, then it makes sense that the ‘voice’ of wellbeing runs through your company, from the top down.
Get your execs completing a volunteering mission and sharing their experience with the team, demonstrating corporate responsibility in action.
Celebrate & Share
Sharing experiences and images helps build a collective sense of purpose and feel-good vibes within your team. Shouting about all the good you do externally, especially through volunteering activities, is a great way to show off to your clients and competitors too.
