ELVIS’ Big Impact Afternoon.

A Company-Wide Event to Boost Engagement and Wellbeing.

In our new spotlight, we take a look at how ELVIS, a London-based, digital creative agency, increased their employee engagement in volunteering missions by 425% in a single afternoon.

ELVIS has a team of 50 amazing employees. Being new to OnHand they were looking for a way to boost engagement, make a massive impact, and create a bucket of lovely content straight away. So they scheduled a Big Impact Afternoon.

What is a Big Impact Afternoon?

It’s about empowering your employees to carve out a chunk of their schedule to dedicate time towards learning, doing good deeds, and making a difference in their community through OnHand.

Driving Employee Engagement with Exec Level Involvement.

The ELVIS leadership team blocked out time in everyone’s diaries so they all had the afternoon off, with the opportunity to pick up an OnHand mission or two… or three!

They announced the campaign via all staff emails and on Slack to make sure the whole gang knew about it and had downloaded the OnHand app, ready to take part on the day.

The Ripple Effect.

Every small action OnHanders accept creates an impact locally and globally, which is why it’s so incredible to see that almost every employee at ELVIS picked up a mission in just one afternoon.

The good vibes don’t stop when an employee hits ‘complete’ on their mission. They bring that back to the office with them and it provides a genuine morale boost. Getting to share their stories and selfies with OnHand means they get to spread the feel-good factor far and wide with a whole community of do-gooders! Oh, and let’s not forget that every mission counts towards planting trees overseas to help stop climate change.

From companionship phone calls for the elderly and isolated, to shop drops, running errands, gardening and mini training sessions, the ELVIS team certainly had a busy afternoon spreading joy!

The afternoon was an eye-opener, and it motivated many to make doing more good part of everyday life…
